Fort Worth-based Calloway's Nursery opened two new stores in Tarrant County in March. A Mansfield location opened at 311 East Debbie Lane followed by a north Fort Worth location at 3936 North Tarrant Parkway. Designed by Schwarz-Hanson Architects of Fort Worth, each store, with a wraparound front porch and stone exterior, resembles a classic Texas farmhouse with 5,000-square-feet of indoor retail space, a 15,000-square-foot greenhouse and an additional 35,000-square-foot outdoor area.
"Calloway's is pleased to open in these thriving communities and offer local homeowners new opportunities to create beautiful gardens," said Calloway's President and Chief Operating Officer Marce Ward.
The company predicts the new stores will bring about 40 jobs to the local economy. Founded in 1986, this year marks Calloway's 30th year in business. The two new stores make 18 locations around the Dallas-Fort Worth area in addition to sister-store, Cornelius, in Houston. calloways.com.
