An 18,000-square-foot beer garden, live music venue and dog park will open March 8 in the location formerly occupied by Capital Bar. One Entertainment Group — the same team responsible for Landmark Bar & Kitchen and Texas Republic — is behind the concept named The Yard.
A press release describes it as an adult playground with a private karaoke room, stage for live music, multi-level balconies with views of the stage, a beer garden offering over 70 brews and a rooftop patio with views of the downtown Fort Worth skyline. An adult arcade will have games such as Hypershoot Basketball and Lane Master Bowling, ping pong tables and a miniature golf course. The press release also promises “a regularly rotating fleet of food trucks” constantly on hand to serve patrons at the beer garden.
The Yard will also be dog friendly with a fenced-in dog park filled with dog toys and a special doggie menu.
“We got together and made a list of everything we would love to see in a fun and relaxed “backyard” and incorporated it into The Yard, “ said Sam Sameni, Principal of One Entertainment Group.
Located at 3017 Morton St., The Yard has partnered with 95.9 The Ranch to continue hosting the Ranch Music Series that will feature free Texas Country concerts every Wednesday from March to September. Soft opening weekend will feature free shows by Le Frek and Hip Hop Hooray. Kevin Fowler will headline on Saturday, March 10.
Planned hours are Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
