After a short-lived stint on West Berry Street, Americado has announced it's shutting its doors.
The Mexico City-style market announced via Facebook that it will permanently close Sunday. The post thanked diners and noted that Americado will take reservations until Sunday, but any reservations after Sunday will be canceled.
"We want to thank each and everyone of you who came through our doors, who enjoyed our food and brightened our day," the post read. "We sincerely appreciate all of the wonderful moments with you, all the conversations, compliments, advice and even criticisms. Thank you for sharing these happy times with us."
According to Americado, the closure was due to "rent cost and lack of other business to help bring more traffic to that specific area."
Americado opened in March and offered multiple stations where customers could order food, from "Chilango" for street tacos to "La Juicieria" for coffee and aguas frescas. The space was also noted for its colorful interior design and patio, designed by Dallas-based Coveal Studio.
