Arcadia Coffee, a Weatherford staple that opened its doors in the small town to the west in 2016, just made the move to the Near Southside with a grand opening on Feb. 19.
Arcadia's shiny new location resides in a vintage Airstream camper at 105 South Main. Nearby neighbors at the corner of East Vickery include Amphibian Stage Productions and Loft 22 Cakes.
Owner Carrie Collins's little coffee and espresso bar has big hopes and dreams, as Collins wants it to be a space for creatives and envisions a place that will foster communication and community.
She incorporated a roastery as well last year and will roast on-site inside the Main and Broad Building, located just behind the Airstream. "We'll be roasting mostly single origin beans and seasonal varieties," Collins says.
Arcadia serves all the coffee must-haves from cold brew to macchiato.
Their signature drink — the Cosmic Latte — includes espresso, milk and cinnamon vanilla syrup. And for those who prefer their coffee with a side of caffeine, there's a flight of energy-laced beverages that goes straight to the adrenals called the Trinity Flight, which includes one double-shot espresso, a small French press and a small drip coffee. Yes, all in a single order.
Other usual suspects include herbal, green and chai teas, as well as a couple of fresh smoothies. The Mountain Man smoothie has kale, banana, pear, almond butter and almond milk, and the Moonbeam is a berry blend of blackberry, raspberry and blueberry with orange juice and coconut milk.
Customers can also expect a new menu to pop up soon. "We'll have a full toast menu and tater tot waffles — which are super simple but so good,” Collins says. “We will also have a rotating selection of made-from-scratch baked goods like cookies, muffins and quiches.”
And the entire menu promises to be vegan and vegetarian.
