The Black Rooster Café will open on July 13 at 910 Houston St., serving up pastries, breads, and sandwiches, along with desserts like cookies and macarons. The location will have both indoor and outdoor seating and will also retain the space's existing amethyst bar to add a pastry display case.
According to a Facebook post by the café, owner Immy Khan is planning to have three Black Rooster Cafés by the end of the summer. The original location at 2430 Forest Park Blvd. began in 2010 as a bread bakery and grew into a café serving breakfast, lunch and dessert. Currently under construction is another Black Rooster Café adjacent to Khan’s other restaurant, The Lunch Box, at 6333 Camp Bowie Blvd.
“We are confident that our downtown café will immediately become the premiere Fort Worth-owned café in our vibrant city center,” Khan said in a statement. “Black Rooster is the perfect place to enjoy a wide variety of the best artisanal delights. In fact, it's where the best begins.”
