Mama's Pizza owner Jordan Scott will be showing off his sweet side to the Fort Worth community in May.
Scott will open Creamistry, an ice cream store that will serve organic ice cream made with liquid nitrogen. The 1,200-square-foot shop will be opening its first Fort Worth location in the Left Bank development on West Seventh Street, at 628 Harold St., Ste. 128.
Creamistry was founded in 2013 and began franchising a year later. There are currently 50 shops open and operating in four states and three countries. At the Fort Worth location, customers will have the opportunity to taste one of more than 30 flavors available and top off their dessert with a selection of toppings. Each dessert is made to order, with smoke billowing due to the flash-freezing process.
“The number one thing I've learned as an owner is that great service paired with an outstanding product will drive people to your establishment,” Scott said in a statement. “It is truly a joy to be expanding our business to serve dessert to our Fort Worth friends, while keeping the near 50-year tradition of Mama's Pizza going strong.”
Scott and his wife Nicole are partnering with Wes and Patrice Hall. Wes is the manager of the Camp Bowie pizza store and operations trainer for Mama's franchise locations.
“With 15 years of restaurant and franchise experience, I knew the Creamistry model would flourish in Fort Worth,” Hall said in a statement. “We're excited to pair our history of providing a quality product with excellent customer service through an exciting new ice cream concept.”
Creamistry is tentatively scheduled to open in May. A portion of the sales from opening weeks will go toward nonprofit Communities In Schools of Greater Tarrant County.
