Time to hit up the bars — Chocolate Fest at Central Market is happening now through Feb. 14, and to celebrate, the store is rolling out new flavors of its own brand of bean-to-bar chocolate bars.
These minimally processed, three-ounce bars come in Waffles and Maple Syrup Milk Chocolate, Pistachio and Cherry White, Blueberry and Acai Dark, Coconut Black Lava SS Milk, Potato Chip Milk, Super Seeds Dark and Match Green Tea White Chocolate.
New flavors are also available as two-ounce bars: Peanut Butter and Jelly Milk, Caramel Sea Salt Dark and Caramel Apple Milk Chocolate.
Central Market has added these chocolatiers to its stock as well:
- Fresco, which uses only pure, dark chocolate and three ingredients: cocoa beans, cane sugar and cocoa butter. The Fresco collection is free of dairy, nut, soy and gluten.
- Seed and Bean, which is handmade in Cornwall, England, using 100 percent organic products. Seed and Bean is vegan friendly, single origin dark chocolate.
- Cocoba, known as the “guilt-free” chocolate because it has no added sugar, and is handmade in Dartford, England.
- Éclat Chocolate from Master Chocolatier Christopher Curtin, who honed his skills in the finest chocolate houses of Belgium, Switzerland, France, Germany and Japan. Five flavors of Parallel Bars will be available, like Éclat's Coffee and Cardamom or Allspice and Sesame Seeds.
- American Heritage Chocolate – Mars Wrigley is an artisanal dark chocolate made with hints of vanilla, orange, chili pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg and other flavors unique to the 18th century.
