Amidst the colorful murals and mantras found around The Foundry District, another work recently appeared on a wall next to Doc's Records and Vintage on Weisenberger Street: A “coming soon” sign, marking the spot where Meyer & Sage, a culinary studio offering meal deliveries, culinary workshops and boutique catering, will open a new home for its commercial kitchen this summer.
A storefront concept, which will have to-go options and also offer delivery, is expected to open this fall, owner Callie Salls said. The commercial kitchen is currently in Aledo.
“We've decided we've kind of outgrown the kitchen and wanted to get back to the Fort Worth area,” she said. “We were acquainted with M2G Ventures [The Foundry District's developer], and they talked to us about The Foundry District project. They were trying to support local businesses, which is just super important to me.”'
Meyer & Sage is known for its healthy and organic meals delivered to anyone in Fort Worth and surrounding areas within a 15-mile radius. Chilled organic chicken salad with field greens, Cal's Meatloaf, and slow-braised meatballs with marinara are just some of the items patrons can order off the menu.
“I think this is just the beginning,” Salls said. “As long as we're really being cautious with quality, not quantity.”
