Did you hear? Del Frisco's Grille is bestowing DFW, and more importantly, Fort Worth, with a new Happy Hour. The Sip N’ Share Happy Hour, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday, is $6 for any food, wine, or cocktail on the menu and $5 for draft beer. Simple right?
When you head over to get a taste of this new action, you will recognize many crowd favorites such as the Deviled Eggs and the Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls. If you are in the mood for one of the classic flat breads, you are in luck. During Sip N' Share, the same flat breads you know and love are offered in a personal pan size.
New to the menu is the French Onion Dip served with the house-made Skillet Potato Chips. This dip is no ordinary dip. It tastes like something Mom whips up for big football games nights. Pair it with an ice-cold beer to end off a long day at work. If French Onion Dip isn't for you, then try the Parmesan Spinach Dip with house-made Tortilla Chips.
Now, after the dip, or alongside it, grab an order of the Wagyu Corndogs. These mini dogs tastes just like the state fair, but with finer ingredients. The breading is nice and crisp on the outside, yet perfectly fluffy on the inside. The Wagyu beef sets the corndog apart from others I have tried. It's served with a smokey chipotle ketchup and a yummy honey mustard.
Don't fill up on corndogs, instead, save room for the Pulled Pork Nachos. You won't be disappointed. Tortilla chips are smothered in nacho cheese and piled high with pulled pork, cilantro, and jalapeños.
Now, although none of the cocktails included on the menu are brand new, the chosen favorites are worth mentioning. The VIP cocktail for instance, comes from a pineapple that is soaked in Svedka Clementine vodka for two weeks. When the two weeks has passed, the pineapple is pressed for the juice (booze) and that is literally what you are drinking. It is a pineapple dream. The Tennessee Peach is a lovely concoction of Jack Daniels, honey, limejuice and muddled fresh peaches. The first sip is packed with peaches and reminded me of the fruit cups my mom used to pack in my lunches. For a whiskey cocktail, it is a very light, very refreshing option. My personal favorite was the White Sangria, a fruity, but not too sweet, liquid treat. The drink was accented by a muddled strawberry and peach popsicle which was floating on top. As it melts, the flavor of the sangria gradually changes, and the outcome is delicious.
