More details have been announced for the popular Dallas dog park and restaurant heading to Clearfork.
Mutts Canine Cantina will be opening in the fall and located along the Trinity River across from Texas Health Clearfork, accompanied by trees and trails, as well as easy access to The Shops at Clearfork and The Kelton multi-family project.
“Clearfork is proud to welcome such a new, unique and fun outdoor recreational destination to Fort Worth and the Trinity Trails for dogs and owners alike,” Paxton Motheral, vice president of Cassco Development Co., said in a statement. “The addition of Mutts Canine Cantina further solidifies Clearfork's vision of bringing the best-in-class to our project.”
Mutts will be a dual-concept, with a park for dogs and a communal beer and wine garden. The dog park will have two fenced lawn spaces that expand over an acre of land. There will also be a patio that will serve concession-style food options, including burgers and milkshakes. A “doggie menu” is also available.
“The Uptown location has experienced great success, so we are really looking forward to bringing Fort Worth their own place to escape with their best friend,” Kyle Noonan, co-owner of FreeRange Concepts and creator of Mutts, said in a statement. “We created Mutts in order to give dog owners living in the city, a nice natural environment that lets you enjoy all your favorite things in one great place – good friends, delicious food and drinks, and of course, your pup. It's a place where dogs and their owners can go and both have a blast.”
Mutts will host many special events, including “Yappy” hour, dog birthday “Pawties” and pictures with “Santa Paws.” Visitors can sign up for a day pass, monthly pass or annual membership to the dog park. There are requirements for dogs to enter the park as well: The dog must be over four months old, sprayed or neutered, current on vaccination, off-leash trained, and friendly.
