A new coffee shop is opening at the edge of downtown.
Sons of Liberty Coffee is hosting a two-day grand opening celebration Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. The 2,500-square-foot shop is located at 250 West Lancaster Ave., Suite 140, right across from the historic post office, and provides free parking for its customers in the nearby parking garage.
Coffee beans will come from Onyx Coffee Lab. Customers can sip on a Liberty Latte, the shop's speciality drink, or order an organic or nonorganic tea. Holy Kombucha is also in the process of creating an original flavor for Sons of Liberty Coffee to offer on tap.
Owner Eder Teixeira hopes that Sons of Liberty Coffee can bring people together and remind them not to settle. “I fell in love with coffee primarily, No. 1 being exposed to it but No. 2, because of what it does as far as supporting and promoting relationships by just enjoying a cup of coffee with others.”
