Meso Maya pays homage to Mexican and Mayan food with a menu crafted by Executive Chef Nico Sanchez. It began in Dallas in 2011, and since then, has been voted “Best Regional Mexican Cuisine” and “Best Brunch” by D Magazine readers, one of the 21 Best Mexican Restaurants in America by Thrillist, and one of the “Top 5: Eats in Dallas” by National Geographic.
Now, Meso Maya has finally arrived in Fort Worth — twice over. The restaurant has two locations in Fort Worth, located at Tanglewood (3050 S. Hulen St.) and downtown Fort Worth (604 Main St.), just south of Sundance Square. If you haven't been yet, here's everything you need to know about the city's newest upscale Mexican eatery.
CUISINE
Meso Maya offers authentic interior Mexican dishes such as Carne Asada, Chicharrones, Pollo Con Mole and Budin Azteca, which is known as a “Mexican lasagna.” For dessert, a must-try is Meso Maya's Pastel de Moras — skillet-baked blueberry cake with Mexican vanilla ice cream and a blueberry drizzle.
LUNCH & HAPPY HOUR
Both Fort Worth locations are open for weekday lunch and Happy Hour, offering a $12 Lonche Especial and $5 Happy Hour food and drink specials. These Happy Hour specials include queso, guacamole, house margaritas, wine, wells and select beer. Relax on the patio at Tanglewood, or enjoy yourself downtown in the historic Kress building.
BRUNCH
Both Meso Maya locations serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday, featuring dishes such as Mexican Toast and the Croque Señor, as well as the full menu. Pair your meal with a $3 Bloody Mary, Sangria or Mimosa.
PRIVATE DINING
Whether you're planning an anniversary dinner or business lunch, Meso Maya also offers private dining at both locations.
