Prohibition is about to end in west Fort Worth when Parker County gets its first brewery in 139 years.
Parker County Brewing Company (PCBC) plans to host several “sneak peek” tastings in January, as well as a soft opening Jan. 15-20, followed by the grand opening scheduled for Feb. 1. The brewery will be located in a 35,000-square-foot space at 225 Shops Blvd., Suite 105-106, at The Shops at Willow Park. It will have a patio facing a fenced green space, boasting a large TV in the center.
PCBC will have six house beers on draft at any time and six hard-to-get guest taps from Texas and beyond. Exclusive to Parker County will be the three PCBC beers on cask — hand-pumped, “old world”-style beer engines that result in a smooth, creamy beer, according to owner Joshua Tarbay.
PCBC will serve pizza alongside its beers on tap. All pizzas will be 11 inches and Neapolitan style, handmade with caputo flour-based dough. Customers can choose from a variety of pizzas, as well as customize with toppings like Mediterranean vegetables, fresh cheeses and Italian meats.
PCBC will also have some lighter bites, including pretzels, Italian charcuterie boards, pizza bites, and a large variety of fresh salads.
Tarbay is working with co-owner Ryan Stewart and assistant brewer John Laughman — all originally homebrewers. They are currently in the process of setting up brewing equipment to get the location ready for the grand opening in February.
