With these heart warming brews come the fun-filled fall festivals like Oktoberfest. Check out what's happening this fall and what beer festivals you won't want to miss.
Fort Worth's Oktoberfest
Date: September 24 – 26
Go ahead and get your German face on because it's time for Oktoberfest! This is an event that not only gives you a chance at fun and beer for one day but also three full days of live music, great beer, games, food and more. Three day passes are on sale for $12 and day passes at varying prices with kids under 12 getting in free. A family friendly event tailor made for parents needing to get in touch with their inner child while the kids have fun playing games and running around. Sit back, drink up and experience a glimpse of German culture and history right in your backyard.
Oktoberfest Southlake
Date: October 2 – 4
Oktoberfest Southlake is another great German tradition just outside Fort Worth with free admission and fun for the whole family. This event will have live music featuring several bands each day, wonderful food choices, games and of course beer. A Weiner Dog Race is also on the schedule for Saturday with last year’s total entry reaching around 180 weiner dogs competing for the chance to be a weiner champ. Another opportunity for parents to enjoy great music and beer while the youngsters run around and drain out their energy. Delve into the spirit of Oktoberfest with a heart warming German lager and food.
Flying Saucer 10th Annual BeerFeast
Date: October 10
The Flying Saucer 10th Annual BeerFeast is a craft beer lovers paradise going on from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. right in the heart of downtown with 80 different brews to try with serving cards of 12-2 oz. servings with more serving cards available for purchase. Local brewers such as Rahr & Sons and Martin House will be attending with many more providing great brews to taste and savor. Live music and a few games will be happening during the event with food also being available for purchase. If you are a local craft beer lover then this is an event you do not want to miss. Tickets are available for purchase on the site for $35 general admission and VIP passes for $65 that allows you to enter in an hour early as well as grab a free T-shirt.
2015 North Texas Beer Week
Date: November 6 – 15
The last stop on the Fort Worth fall beer festival tour is the popular North Texas Beer Week. A craft beer lovers paradise that last an entire week and expands throughout the DFW metroplex. This event provides brewery tours from around the metroplex, live music, tastings, activities, games and more each day of the week — talk about ending the fall with a bang! Hundreds of different breweries both local and national will be participating in this week-long event, providing plenty of great beers to warm you up as winter begins to show up. There will also be a Brewer's Ball on Nov. 13 with live music, dancing and of course beer. This is definitely an event to use your vacation days on as you delve into the love, passion and art of craft beer.
