A familiar face is making a comeback to Fort Worth's restaurant scene.
Jenna Kinard — best known locally as the former chef of the now-closed MAX's Wine Dive restaurant on West Seventh Street — will lead the kitchen at Hotel Drover's 97 West Kitchen and Bar, one of several upcoming developments that Stockyards Heritage Development Company is building in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Kinard made the announcement via Instagram on Thursday.
"I can't wait to serve you guys the best food, show you true Southern hospitality — we're so excited," she said.
Kinard says she is currently developing the menu, which will serve "elevated Southern" cuisine.
Kinard competed in Fort Worth Magazine's Top Chef competition in 2017 while serving as executive chef at MAX's Wine Dive. She left the restaurant last year and, in the meantime, ran a catering company, Enchanted Catering.
The restaurant is expected to open with Hotel Drover — a 200-room, four-star Marriott Autograph Collection hotel — in spring 2020.
