He's famous for barbecue, burgers and his casual restaurant on the river, but now Chef Tim Love is taking on a new challenge. The celebrity chef and owner of Woodshed Smokehouse, The Lonesome Dove and Love Shack, announced today that he will host a four-part dinner series in his office test kitchen. Each pop-up will focus on a different cuisine and culture.
Titled UFFICIO, the first part of the pop-up series will feature Italian cuisine. Open for service from January 27 – 30 with reservations available from 6 – 9 p.m., and hosted in Love's test kitchen on Main Street between downtown and the Northside, the menu will blend Love's wood-fired grilling with classic Italian flavors. The six-course menu (crudo, antipasti, fettine, primi, secondi and dolce) will be offered at $85/person and includes an introductory cocktail, two glasses of wine and motenegro amaro (traditional amaro distilled in Bologna) and coffee to close the meal.
The menu teases dishes like a crudo with margarita ice, avocado, escolar and chiles; a fettine with elk pork, spinales and blueberry; and a dolce of butterscotch budino, crema and salted caramel.
