The much-anticipated tea shop in the Near Southside has set an opening date.
Leaves Book and Tea Shop is set to open Sept. 1 at 120 St. Louis Ave., Ste. 100, inside the Dickson-Jenkins Lofts and Plaza. With more than 40 varieties of hot and iced teas, plus a curated selection of books for sale, Leaves intends to provide a Wi-Fi-free environment for guests to disconnect, relax and build community through conversation and reading.
Owners Tina and Todd Howard have spent the last 17 months building their business through pop-ups and demonstrations throughout the Fort Worth region.
“The culture of both tea and books calls for people to slow down and be present, which completely aligns with our vision,” Tina Howard said in a statement.
The initial hours of operation will be Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“We hope leaves will be a space where community will gather and people will pause from life’s hectic pace,” Howard said.
