Rogers Roundhouse — named after the circular building used to service and store train cars — is currently under construction at 1616 Rogers Road. The restaurant stands directly across from the Mopac Event Center, not far from BNSF's Davidson Yard, one of the first railyards in the U.S.
Rogers Roundhouse will carry on the railroad theme — the 10,000 square foot space will have both indoor and outdoor seating with a patio that overlooks the railyard. The menu will offer classic favorites such as house-ground burgers and hand-cut fries, while the bar will have 30 beers on tap, along with a crafted cocktail menu containing a selection of spirits and handcrafted drinks. Visitors can also enjoy a sweet treat from the Curly's Frozen Yogurt — Curly's co-owner Bourke Harvey also co-owns Rogers Roundhouse, working alongside restaurant operator Tommy Koons.
RJM Contractors, the company behind the buildouts of the Fort Worth Convention Center and Breadwinners Quarter Bar in Trophy Club, is handling construction. The project broke ground in August, with plans to finish at the beginning of 2019.
