Rollin' N Bowlin' is bowing out of the Food Hall at Crockett Row.
With the açaí bowl and smoothie shop opening a larger brick-and-mortar store in downtown Fort Worth after April 21, the Food Hall at Crockett Row has announced its replacement — Monkey King Noodle Company, a Northern Chinese street food joint that specializes in hand-pulled noodle dishes inspired by the night markets of China and Taiwan.
Monkey King's debut is expected on April 26.
The menu features housemade noodle dishes, wonton soups and salads, as well as several types of dumplings, including pork dumplings filled with, well, pork, Napa cabbage and a savory garlic chive filling.
Monkey King Noodle Company began in a small stand in Deep Ellum. Chef Andrew Chen, one of the owners and chief noodle maker, makes everything from scratch. Hand-pulled noodle dishes include Dan Dan pork noodles spiked with garlic, ginger and scallions and finished with a splash of hot chicken broth, garnished with fresh herbs.
As for the rest of the Food Hall (managed by Hospitality Alliance), several operators like Butler's Cabinet, EB2 and Press Waffle Co. have also recently extended evening hours via new walk-up windows for late night traffic. New weekend entertainment, featuring live local music and DJs, will be playing Thursday through Saturday evenings beginning at 7 p.m.
