Happy Taco Tuesday, everybody! And if you're working or hanging around downtown, Salsa Limón is now open for your taco-consuming pleasure.
Dubbed the “Centro” location, the downtown Salsa Limón held a soft opening Monday at 550 Throckmorton St. on the ground floor of The Tower. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and plans to eventually have late night hours as well. The space is designed to mimic Brutalist architectural style, mixed with Mexico City market flare, according to a press release.
Salsa Limón, which currently has four locations open throughout Fort Worth, is known for its authentic street-style tacos like El Capitán, filled with the customer's choice of meat (or vegetarian filling), pickled cabbage, onion, cilantro and melted Oaxaca-Jack cheese wrapped in a toasted flour tortilla.
Salsa Limón has been quite the busy company with not just the opening of its Centro location, but also the moving of its Museo location from University Drive to the River District along White Settlement Road. There, the Museo location will change its name to “Distrito.”
