Up next on South Main's string of new businesses – a coffee shop.
CRUDE Craft Coffee Bar is making its way to South Main Street, expecting to open its doors some time in November. Located at 804 S. Main St., Ste. 120, the 1,500-square-foot space will have the ambiance of a dimly lit cigar lounge with a touch of glam — think comfortable seating and gold accents while the soft tunes of swing music and jazz play in the background.
The menu will consist of craft coffee, homemade breakfast tacos and a weekly rotation of small batch, in-house desserts such as tiramisu, gourmet cakes, tarts, jar desserts, bread pudding, cobblers, pies and more.
CRUDE is the brainchild of owners Teresa and Corey Bloodworth, also mother and son, who wanted to combine their interests and turn them into a business — Teresa loves baking, while Corey's passion is in craft coffee.
“I have always wanted to open a bakery, but being a single mom made it hard for me to focus on that,” Teresa says. “My son is now an adult with dreams of his own, and together we decided to combine this dream of ours and came up with the perfect fusion of both.”
