The skillets keep sizzling in downtown Fort Worth, with a Mexican restaurant set to open and a burger restaurant on the way.
Wild Salsa opens Wednesday at City Place Center at 300 Throckmorton St., serving items inspired by the cuisine of Mexico City. This will be Wild Salsa's third location, with the other two locations being in Dallas and Fairview.
Along with serving Mexican favorites like enchiladas and fajitas, the Fort Worth Wild Salsa will also roll out some new menu items like Queso Fundido (house-made chorizo with jalapeño-potato-onion mix, sizzling Mexican cheese, corn tortillas) and Camarones Asados (wood-grilled gulf shrimp, achiote carrot purée, charred corn, Mexican squash), which will be featured at all Wild Salsa locations in celebration of the restaurant's Fort Worth opening.
The restaurant will also have a patio with porch swing chairs and games like corn hole toss. Wild Salsa will initially be open for dinner only but will later open for lunch and dinner some time in November.
But it's not just Mexican food coming to downtown.
The restaurant group that's opening Wild Salsa, DRG Concepts, also plans to open Chop House Burger adjacent to Wild Salsa. This will be Chop House Burger's third location, with the other two being in Dallas and Euless.
