Fort Worth's newest home décor store focuses on everything outside the box — that is, the backyard.
The Collective Outdoors is set for its soft opening Thursday. The 8,100-square-foot store, located at 621 South Freeway, will carry products for the patio and backyard, as well as offer outdoor living services.
The shop was founded by Dale Jackson of Blooms Landcare and Dustin Hillman of Hillman Outdoor Living.
“The No. 1 mistake we see in backyard design is not taking the whole yard into consideration when building a project,“ Jackson said in a statement. “Someone will install a patio and wish they had another few feet because the furniture doesn't fit. At The Collective Outdoors, our team can design the backyard of your dreams without the hassle of having to call individual companies. We're all here under one roof working together to build the perfect backyard to fit your outdoor living needs.”
The Collective Outdoors plans to use its space to also host events like Saturday cook offs, food trucks and a putting green. After the grand opening, a bar will also be open to the public.
“People can enjoy The Collective Outdoors the same way they enjoy their backyards,” Hillman said.
The grand opening is set for Aug. 11.
