Can’t have boos without the brews. From art-themed parties to murder mystery dinners, here are five places to hit up this Halloween.

Nightmare on Morton Street

Kick off Halloween weekend at BAR 2909 with a party showcasing the work of more than 30 local artists. The event will also feature live paintings, a $500 cash prize costume contest and classic horror flicks playing on a projector. Bring Fido — pets are welcome.

6th Annual Booery Tour

Martin House’s biggest event of the year will provide 34 beers on tap, costume and candy-eating contests, live music and food trucks. Tickets are $15 and include a glass with four 8-ounce pours.

Terror at Texas Live!

This adults-only Halloween bash will feature a live DJ and costume contests with prizes reaching over $7,500. The party will take place in multiple areas of Texas Live! This event is for those 18 and over only. Tickets are $10.

October Furday Party, Halloween Bash

The Yard will be hosting two Halloween events: October Furday Party and Halloween Bash. If dressing your dog in costumes is your thing, Furday begins at 4 p.m. and will have plenty of treats for your pup. Furday will end right in time for The Yard’s second event, Halloween Bash, which will feature a $2,000 costume contest. Tableside kegs and bottle service are available at an additional cost.

Murder Mystery Dinner

If Clue was your favorite game as a child, join Firestone & Robertson Distilling Co. for a Murder Mystery Dinner on its swanky distillery, Whiskey Ranch. The distillery will host improv troupe Comedy Killers Comedy Murder Mysteries and serve passed hors d'oeuvres, dinner, dessert and three TX cocktails. Limited tickets are available, so sign up ASAP.
