With beautiful weather, crisp autumn air and – of course – craft beer, the wonderfully set up craft beer event in the West 7th area provided fun for the whole family. The Fort Worth event on Crockett Street featured eight different craft brews on tap from Brewsters Bar and Grill that were set up along the sides of the blocked off street during the event just a few hundred feet from the event entrance.
Groups participated in the Beer Olympics set up a couple of hours before the initial event. These games included flip cup, giant beer pong, and giant Jenga. Back in Black set the tone for the scene by performing old school classics like AC/DC songs.
The event had a slower start with more people gradually piling in after the TCU game and Garth Brooks show finished. As the night continued on, more people gathered creating a herd of craft beer lovers along with their families and friends enjoying the beautiful West 7th atmosphere.
This event brought people from all over the DFW area that wanted to celebrate this event's 6th year. This event grows larger and lager each year, but still provides free admission to all those who come. Beers were set at $5 a pop in nice-sized, disposable plastic cups giving everyone the chance to really sip, savor and enjoy their beer without getting too wild. If you missed out on this year's event, you won't want to miss out on next year's because it will be bringing in greater crowds, more craft beer and a bigger celebration than before. Cheers!
