Time flies when you're having fun, especially when it comes to craft beer. It's been 11 years since the beginning of a great new adventure for not only Rahr and Sons Brewing Company but also for the Fort Worth craft beer scene; this start of something great provided wonderfully crafted brews to the Metroplex and, now, throughout the greater state of Texas.
All these years of hard work calls for a celebration that will forever stick in the minds of Fort Worth citizens for years to come. On Oct. 23 and 24, Rahr and Sons is celebrating their 11th anniversary with live music, food and, of course, beer!
To start things off, Rahr plans on releasing a new brew, a Russian Imperial Stout with Toasted Coconut. This beer will be available the week of Oct. 26. It's packed with rich chocolate and coffee notes with caramelized malt flavors and a hint of coconut that will warm you up for the coming cold season. The stout will be presented on tap at the event along with several other special releases and hard-to-find beers.
Some available selections are their 2011 Bourbon Barrel Aged Winter Warmer, Angry Goat aged on chocolate covered banana chips, Iron Thistle, The Regulator and many more. Live music will be performed by the High School Caesar and food will be provided by Lee's Grilled Cheese's and 3 Parrots' food trucks.
Attendees of the event will receive a commemorative glass for sampling different beers throughout the event. Only 500 VIP tickets are available for purchase for $25 – these will give you early access to the events. General admission is set at $10 and will be limited to 1,000 presale tickets. This is an event you will not want to miss out on and the tickets are going fast, so go ahead and purchase you pass today.Tickets can be purchased on the company's website.
