Gexa Pavilion Kicks Off $20 Ticket Promo

For those that don’t know, I am a concert enthusiast and I have probably seen more than a hundred performances.  So, the “Kick Off to Summer” event, Live Nation’s $20 ticket promotion, is right up my alley. For one week only, May 13 - 20, lawn seating at Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas will be as low as $20, making summer concerts an affordable activity for metroplex music lovers.

Some of the best live performances will be from Dierks Bentley (August 20) and Zac Brown Band (August 14), as they will both showcase new music this summer. Dierks Bentley’s eighth studio album will be available on May 27 and he has already released four music videos to accompany his singles. I would also recommend Rascal Flatts, who hits the stage with pop country star Kelsea Ballerini on July 30 – an opportunity to say you saw Kelsea Ballerini before she got huge. She’s part of Taylor Swift’s “girl squad” and experts predict she will follow in the pop star’s footsteps and make the genre switch within the next few years. Other country artists in this ticket promotion include: Jason Aldean (May 21), Darius Rucker (June 17), Brad Paisley (August 27), and Brantley Gilbert (September 10).

Hopefully no mosh pits will erupt in the lawn during the Slipknot and Marilyn Manson concert on June 23, but there are sure to be some hands in the air as G-Eazy represents Oakland, CA on June 28. I have seen G-Eazy three times over the years and his shows just keep getting bigger and better. Now he is selling out shows and touring worldwide. Snoop Dog with Wiz Khalifa will also come to the Metroplex on August 19.

The Dixie Chicks are sure to bring on nostalgia on August 5. For the first time in 10 years the female trio is headlining a North American tour. The all-girl group is back playing hits like “Wide Open Spaces” and “Goodbye Earl.” This concert could be one of the last times that the group tours at this scale. Finally, I recommend checking out Gwen Stefani on August 13. The last time I saw Gwen perform was at Gexa Energy pavilion was when she was still a member of No Doubt. That was the first real concert I ever attended. I can’t wait to see if she brings the same energy to her live shows as she did back then.

Lawn seats at Gexa can run up to $35 so this ticket promotion is a great deal. But, this deal is only available until May 20.
