The Fairmount district is filled with culture, history and, naturally, lots to do. Here, an itinerary for a full day in Fairmount.
10 a.m | Coffee and brunch.

West Magnolia Avenue is cluttered with restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. Grab a cappuccino or cold drink from Craftwork Coffee Co. before going to Cane Rosso, a Napoletana pizzeria, for brunch. If you have a sweet tooth, order the Nutella French Toast, or for a more savory option, try the Italian Stallion Fritta. Feel free to get carried away with the $1 mimosas and $3 bloody marys and micheladas.
Noon | Walk it off.
Digest brunch by walking through Fairmount Park on South Henderson Street, across from the Fairmount Community Garden. Then make the quick one-block, four-minute walk to the Fairmount Community Library. The library is run by volunteers and offers Wi-Fi, an indoor reading lounge, coffee and patio. Browse its catalog or read up on the history of city with “A Brief History of Fort Worth: Cowtown Through the Years” by Rita Cook.
2 p.m. | Ride through the neighborhood.

The Fairmount Neighborhood Association has organized a list of historic houses and buildings to visit on a driving tour of the neighborhood, but we suggest doing it on a bike. Fort Worth’s B-Cycle bike sharing program has five different locations in Fairmount to rent a bike. Print out the driving tour addresses and facts to give yourself a mini history lesson.
4 p.m. | Tour a brewery.
Start your night early by touring some of Fort Worth's local breweries. HopFusion Ale Works is a micro-craft brewery that features live entertainment and a large outdoor patio. Its taproom features four annual beers from the signature series and rotates through experimental beers.
6 p.m. | Eat up.

Not all restaurants are on Magnolia. Head over to Eighth Avenue for dinner. Dine at either Mexican Inn Cafe, which was born in Fort Worth in 1936, or Esperanza's Mexican Bakery & Cafe, Joe T.’s spinoff restaurant that has a special dinner menu served at this location only.
8 p.m. | Nightcap.
Cross the street from dinner and grab few drinks with friends at Finn MacCool's Pub. Or, for a more upscale setting, visit Kent & Co on Magnolia.
