Fort Worth's Fourth, 2-11 p.m.
The 11th year of Fort Worth's Fourth is sure to continue drawing Fort Worthians and beyond to Trinity River. Tubing, live music, zip lines, one of the biggest fireworks shows in Northeast Texas and more are packed into nine hours. Parking is $10-$20, but entry is free unless you opt for the VIP packages beginning at $50.

Old-Fashioned Family Fireworks Picnic, 8:15 p.m.
Catch this last patriotic hurrah from the Concerts in the Garden Series through July 2-4. Each night you can spread out at the Botanic Garden's lawn to hear some classic American tunes from the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra while munching on a packed picnic. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without a fireworks show at the end. Lawn seating is free, but tickets begin at $19 if you want to get in on the orchestral action.

If you're looking for a more exclusive spot to catch the fireworks over the Trinity River, Brews and Booms at Panther Island Brewing might be the solution. For $15 you receive a red, white and blue pint glass with three pours of your choice. Rack Attack Barbeque and live music will also be on-site.

Westcliff 4th of July Parade, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
The Westcliff neighborhood is hosting a community parade with some appearances from local car clubs such as the Volks Folks. Stick around afterwards at First Congregational Church on Trail Lake Drive for some free food, drinks and water slide action. Shady Hill is providing live music, plus there's a canned food drive to help.

Arborlawn United Methodist Church on Briarhaven Drive is hosting this free musical event. The Arborlawn Music Team will be playing some old favorites and new selections in the sanctuary — all you have to do is show up.

4th of July Cookout and Jam Session, 11 a.m.-2 a.m.
You'll definitely want to make some room in the day to head over to The Yard. This Fourth of July party will have spiked watermelon, snow cones, a beer garden, and live music beginning at 6 p.m. — and don't worry, you can see the Trinity River fireworks from here.

Red, White & Boots, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The Fort Worth Stockyards is going all out with events every day from July 4-7. Expect cattle drives, beer gardens, live music, gunfights and local vendors.

Fort Worth 4th of July Ride, 8-noon
If you need to preemptively work off some barbecue and beer, make Performance Bicycle on South Hulen Avenue your first stop of the day. This event has routes for biking machines, wobbly legged wheelers and everyone in between. Free hot dogs and drinks will be available after the ride.

4th of July Celebration in Berney Park, 9-10:30 a.m.
Head over to Berney Park in Ridglea North's neighborhood to kickstart your Independence Day. The neighborhood is putting on a patriotic parade, selling Alchemy Pops popsicles, and promising some surprise events.

Riverside July 4 Celebration, 10 a.m.-noon
Stop in at Bonnie Brae Boulevard in Riverside for a classic Fourth of July party with hot dogs, face painting, crafts and live entertainment. The fun ramps up with a non-motorized parade though (meaning anyone can join it).

Monticello 4th of July Celebration, begins 9:30 a.m.
Monticello is hosting its own community parade beginning at Virginia Place at Fourth Street and ending in Monticello Park. There will be free kolaches, iced coffee, Kona Ice, punch and more. To sweeten the deal, anyone who places in the parade will win prizes from Steel City Pops and Curly's Frozen Custard.

Independence Day and Top Gun, begins 9:05 p.m.
If you need some time to relax after a day of partying for your country, Coyote Drive-In is the spot. Watch a couple of movies where, spoiler alert, America does awesome things. This is also a prime spot to keep an eye out for the fireworks show over Trinity River.
