Saddle up for a wild finish, because next week is the final week of this year's Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. It's not too late to grab your cowboy boots and see it all one last time. Here are some last-minute things to do.
1. Go museum hopping.
Enrich yourself in American Western culture and history through the Stock Show's Moo-seum Experience. One general admission ticket to the Stock Show will allow you to explore three museums at no cost: the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, and the Cattle Raisers Museum.
2. Test your tastebuds with some Texas wine.
One of the buzziest new events is Vine 2 Wine. Hosted on Wednesdays, patrons are given the opportunity to sample and learn about some wines from wineries across the state. The last one is Jan. 31.
3. Participate in Cook Children's Day at the Stock Show.
Help benefit some of Cook Children's smallest patients by attending one of the rodeo performances on Jan. 31. Half of the profits from ticket sales from the day and evening rodeos will be donated to Cook Children's in support of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
4. Rock out with Charley Crockett.
Close off the night with live music from popular local artist Charley Crockett at the Coors Light Roadhouse on Jan. 27. Crockett’s style fuses Texas country and Louisiana blues.
