A lot of plugging in and getting loud will going on in Fort Worth's Cultural District next spring.
The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is teaming up with Fort Worth-based production and promotions company Fortress Presents to launch Fortress Festival, a music festival that will be held in the Cultural District on April 29-30. The festival will have two stages, one being on The Modern's reflecting pond and the other on the grounds of the Will Rogers Memorial Center.
While a full lineup has not yet been announced, Fortress Festival plans to bring in nationally and internationally known artists, along local acts, according to a press release. Marketing and promotions company Margin Walker Presents will be in charge of artist booking. The company has previously been involved in booking acts for Dallas venues like The Bomb Factory, Trees and Three Links, as well as Sound on Sound Fest taking place outside Austin in November.
