To all the night crawlers out there looking to have a good time this weekend, West 7th has your name all over it. With a vibrant music and bar scene, this corner of the Cultural District is all about great eats, drinks and entertainment.
If you are looking to start early, Bar Louie has one of the strongest happy hour games we have ever seen – I guess that’s why they were named Best Happy Hour Destination in 2015. With a huge rooftop patio, you can take time plotting out the rest of your West 7th night while watching the sunset over the scene. Also, remember to snag a tasty appetizer like their Spinach & Artichoke Dip or the Tri Dips & Chips, both made from scratch daily. After some grub and a drink, or two, you will be ready to take on the rest of West 7th!
The night is still young and it's time to act that way too! Head on over to Barcadia next to get your game on. Whether you want to shoot some Skee ball, rack up a game of pool or test your skills on the giant Connect Four, this is your place to play. It was voted Best Bar with Games after all. Take advantage of their Friday Happy Hour running until 8 p.m. with one of their many Draft Beers or Crafty Cocktails.
Keep the fun going at Landmark Bar and Kitchen with their vintage arcade games, yard games and mechanical bull. Landmark, also a Best Bar with Games winner, is a new local favorite with both a huge inside bar and an outdoor patio. If you are up for it, take a spin on the Specialty Shot Wheel or share a Fishbowl with a friend. This bar does bring in a younger crowd, so be prepared to see a college-aged crew roll in after 11 p.m., but Landmark always has something for everyone.
The Local is another new bar on the block, voted the Best New Bar to be more specific, that you are going to want to check out while out. Only two blocks down from Landmark, this is an easy walk making bar hopping that much easier. With Texas whiskey and Texas beer, you will feel right at home while relaxing on their back patio.
And if you are looking for one more drink before calling it a night, try out Reservoir, conveniently located across the street from The Local. This hot spot, voted Best Sports Bar, is a great place to kick back and relax after a night of hitting the pavement. This bar is great for taking in a game on one of their 38 HD TVs or laughing with friends on their cool patio.
There are so many other fantastic bars on West 7th like Capital Bar, Whiskey Garden and Mash'd just to name a few. And the best part about West 7th is how close all of the different venues are to one another, so its easy to jump from one to another depending on the night’s mood.
