Artspace111 pop-up at The Shops at Clearfork
For the uninitiated, consider Gallery Night as an open door to not only experience Fort Worth's world-class museums but also explore the city's wealth of art galleries and professional studios, along with specialty shops and restaurants — all for free.
The Fort Worth Art Dealers Association (FWADA) is hosting its annual Spring Gallery Night this Saturday. The map runs down Camp Bowie Boulevard, through the museum district to downtown and onto Arlington's vibrant art scene.
"Few cities of Fort Worth's size are privileged to command such a wealth of major art museums, and fewer still have such a vital community spirit," the FWADA says.
A few additional pop-up offerings this year: The Shops at Clearfork is hosting Artspace111's pop-up throughout the summer. Artwork will be available from a variety artists represented by the gallery, as well as artists in The Shops at Clearfork Art Collection. The space also offers prints, gifts and books that appeal to art lovers.
Additionally, artists with the Fort Worth Art Collective will be showcasing a pop-up exhibit of new, small-scale artworks (all under 14 inches) at the Annex at Artes De La Rosa Gallery. An Artists' Reception will be held 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., and Gallery Night Hours will be from 11:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Likewise, The Union at River East (in the up-and-coming Race Street area) will host a night of art, music and food in its newly completed Live/Work artisan units, allowing patrons to browse the pop-up galleries featuring local artists. The apartment's Musician in Residence, Ginny Mac, will perform, and Tributary Cafe will provide the eats.
