This city of cowboys and culture is filled with rich and diverse offerings, ranging from art and history museums to live theatre productions and music concerts. In an effort to celebrate this diversity, the Fort Worth Cultural District museums and community arts center are hosting the 10th annual Day in the District on Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Museums will offer free admission, and the Fort Worth performing arts organizations will provide free performances in and around the cultural district (schedule to be announced). Among the many museums on the exhibition list are two new participants – the Sid Richardson Museum and The Art Galleries at TCU. Although not located directly in the district, these two additions are worth the short drive.
There will be free parking for all visitors to the district, and since it is a pedestrian friendly area, you won't have to worry when walking from place to place. Don't feel like hoofing it? Take the free bus shuttle sponsored by Health-e-Care or rent a bike from Fort Worth Bike Sharing at a discounted price instead.
Below is a list of the numerous museums and exhibitions offered at the 10th annual Day in the District. No matter if you are a regular museum-goer or are just now getting out to experience the diversity of Fort Worth, you are sure to have an enjoyable time at this cultural celebration.
