New Year’s Eve is almost here, and Fort Worth has plenty of parties and other events counting down to midnight. These events range from the annual Sundance Square party to The Future, a new event that combines music with visual arts. If you don’t have anything planned yet, look at our list of some of the popular events happening that night.
Perhaps the most popular New Year’s Eve event in Fort Worth is Sundance Square’s annual celebration that includes a live band, champagne available to purchase on-site, fireworks, and of course, an official countdown.
One of the most unique events this year will take place at Shipping & Receiving with The Future. According to the event’s website, it “explores fantasy, reality, and the blurred lines between.” This event will feature live music from fun and enigmatic acts including Ronnie Heart and Prince Rama. In addition to music, there will also be visual arts.
Fort Worth’s Fixture - Kitchen and Soul Lounge is hosting its second annual New Year’s Eve party this year. It will have an array of lively activities ranging from poker to a buffet from Fort Worth, Texas magazine’s Top Chef, Ben Merritt. Fixture will also have a DJ all night to bring in the new year right.
Scat Jazz Lounge will be having their 10th New Year’s Eve celebration this year and will host powerhouse jazz vocalist Liz Mikel to help bring in the new year. Your ticket purchase will in-clude party favors, food and a champagne toast once midnight hits.
Four Day Weekend, the critically acclaimed comedy group, will be hosting a New Year’s Eve performance at its Houston Street theater. The Key to the City recipients specialize in improvisa-tion and audience suggestions and participation. They have performed for U.S. presidents and even spoke a keynote address to Congress.
Fort Worth’s famous honkytonk will have live music from Eli Young Band and Green River Ordi-nance on New Year’s Eve, helping you welcome the new year the Texan way. The VIP upgrade will include complimentary champagne, appetizers, access to the Texas Club and more.
Buttons Restaurant will have its own celebration this year featuring live music from soul group Buster Brown. The event will kick off at 9 p.m. and will have bottle service, appetizers and a champagne toast.
Martin House Brewing Company’s NYE party will showcase special beers including Reverie, Sugar and Spice, Hell on Earth and more. Luck at Trinity Groves will also be on site to serve their street tacos.
West 7th’s Landmark Bar & Kitchen will feature cash prizes, a live countdown, confetti cannons, deluxe party favors and much more. There is a variety of VIP packages including one with ac-cess to the balcony and the private bar.
The Limo Bus Crawl, presented by MyDrinkOn, is a fun event with no cover charge. The bus will drive a constant loop around the downtown area stopping at multiple venues along the way. It will also include party favors, drinks, champagne toast and much more.
Austin Event Center’s AHYONZ party will feature a Candy Shoppe, Casino Room and other ac-tivities. This Roaring ’20s themed party does not require table reservations and will be a BYOB event. Attire is Black Tie, all black, or anything similar to the style of the Roaring ’20s.
The Gaylord Texan Resort’s Glass Cactus Nightclub is also hosting a Roaring ’20s themed New Year’s Eve party this year. There’s a range of VIP tickets that include special offers and the general admission tickets will include a champagne toast and other party favors.
Fort Worth’s famous ’80s themed bar is hosting a free New Year’s party that comes with a free bottle of champagne for every table, a confetti countdown, free LED lit hats, noisemakers, party favors and, of course, ’80s music.
