Demerara, a Dallas-based apparel company, is moving west and opening its first Fort Worth location in Sundance Square at 404 Houston St.
The 1,600-square-foot store will carry both men's and women's apparel, including dresses, athletic wear and swimsuits. Demerara also partnered with Dallas Mavericks point guard J.J. Barea in 2016 to launch a men's collection that features casual wear.
Demerara began in 2011 with a storefront on McKinney Avenue in Dallas. The company designs and manufactures its apparel in Plano.
“Being a Carswell Air Force Base brat, I am beyond excited to expand our second location into Fort Worth,” owner Cassie Ganesh said in a statement. “We've transformed from traditional boutique retailer into a vertically integrated apparel company, proudly designing and manufacturing right here in the heart of Texas.”
Demerara is expected to open this summer.
