Once they started opening in Fort Worth, they just couldn't stop. Swedish retailer, H&M, plans to open its third Fort Worth location in Hulen Mall on Thursday, September 8. The arrival marks the third Fort Worth H&M to open in less than a year. The first opened at Ridgmar in October 2015, followed by a three-story Sundance Square location in the former Barnes & Noble home in April 2016.
The nearly 22,000-square-foot store will open at noon. One of the world's largest fashion retailers, H&M is famous for trendy clothes and accessories at low prices. The new location will offer the same departments as the other Fort Worth stores including collections for ladies, men, young ladies, young men, children's and newborns as well as separate “store within a store” sections for accessories.
”The state has been very welcoming to us and we are excited to create more employment opportunities with our expansion there,” said U.S. President of H&M, Daniel Kulle
Since H&M opened the doors to its first U.S. store on New York's Fifth Avenue 16 years ago, the U.S. has been one of the retailer's most successful markets. It has 432 locations across the country.
In celebration of opening day, H&M at Hulen Mall will offer the first 100 shoppers in line an H&M Access to Fashion Pass, valued from $10 to $300. To kick off the recycling program on opening day, customers who bring garments to be recycled before the store opens at noon will also have the chance to win H&M gift cards valued between $50 and $250.
Today there are 433 stores in the U.S. and approximately 3,700 H&M stores in 62 markets worldwide.
