The long-anticipated grand opening of the Tanger Outlets takes place Friday. The 350,000-square-foot retail space, located just off Interstate 35 and Texas State Highway 114, will welcome shoppers to more than 70 stores such as Cole Haan, Tommy Hilfiger, Vera Bradley, H&M, Banana Republic, Nike and Restoration Hardware.
Celebrations throughout the weekend will include an array of activities such as crafting, carnival games, free rides on the Tanger Ferris Wheel, and a vintage photo booth with costumes and props. Guests can also take a break from shopping to enjoy strolling acrobats, performers and musicians, or grab food from food trucks on the premises.
On Friday at 10 a.m., a ribbon cutting ceremony will be hosted by CEO Steven B. Tanger, accompanied by state and local officials, as well as the stars of HGTV's “Property Brothers,” Jonathan and Drew Scott. The Scott brothers will be holding a design workshop and presentation with an exclusive meet and greet from noon to 2 p.m.
Saturday's celebrations will feature a dance party at 6 p.m. The night ends with a fireworks show at 9 p.m.
The Tanger Outlets will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m on Sunday.
