Well the doom and gloom of rainy weather has found itself back in Fort Worth once again, but no need to fear. Rainy days don’t have to be a drag – in fact, they can be fun. Here is a list of things to do that’ll make you cheerier than the cast of Singin’ In The Rain.
They say when it rains it pours, and at Kent & Co., that is surely the case. While it pours outside, grab a hefty pour of wine and relax. Let go, and let the day’s worries wash away with the rain and the wine.
Museums are always a great rainy day activity, but The Modern offers more than that. Not only are there entertaining exhibits, but with its massive open windows, it is the perfect place to watch a storm rage. There is also a cafe located wtihin the museum, making it easy to grab a bite to eat without encountering a drop of rain.
A grey, rainy sky practically begs for a trip to the coffee shop. Take this as an opportunity to catch up with old friends, or perhaps on a heavy workload.
What better excuse to eat some baked goods than a rainy day? With tasty treats and large open windows, Stir Crazy is a great place to indulge while watching the weather rain down on Fort Worth.
If the rain starts pouring on a weekend, hit up Mash’d for brunch and indulge in its $2 Mimosa Madness. Known for its extensive selection of drinks, specifically moonshine, Mash’d is the place to drink the day away – or at least an hour or two.
Movies are always a great idea when it rains, and Movie Tavern is no exception. Plus, you can order food and drinks without leaving your seat, which makes it much more exciting.
No need for rain boots in Fort Worth, instead put on cowboy boots and head to Billy Bob’s Texas. Thankfully, this Fort Worth favorite is indoors, making it a great option for a rainy evening. If lucky enough, there might even be a country concert occurring at the same time.
If in need of sharpening up one’s cooking skills, or simply learning how to cook, the rain brings the perfect opportunity to do just that. Central Market offers a variety of cooking classes, and if the timing is right, they just might fall on a rainy day. This is a great indoor activity that will benefit everyone beyond the class, even when the sun is shining.

Don’t let a rainy day be another excuse for skipping a workout. If going for a run in the rain isn’t enjoyable, there are plenty of indoor options to break a sweat. In fact, Fort Worth is packed with fitness studios that offer free trials for new members, and a rainy day is the perfect time to try out some of these great Fort Worth fitness studios.
Rainy days are always a great reason to catch up on sleep. A cozy day spent at home is always needed every so often, and what better time to do it than on a rainy day?
Barcadia boast tons of games, drinks and food. But the best part is it’s indoors, which makes it the perfect place to hang during a rainy evening.
Sundance Square is beautiful when it’s sunny out, but it’s also great on a rainy day. If you’re up for a splash, snag an umbrella and dance around the square. This is a great opportunity to let loose and let go, or simply get a great photo for Instagram.
