It's said that "the best offense is a good defense." That proved especially true in the Texas-TCU game last Saturday, as both teams went scoreless for an entire third quarter before TCU struck with a 31-yard rushing touchdown by running back Darius Anderson in the fourth. TCU won 24-7, bringing its record to 8-1 as it prepares for Oklahoma this Saturday.
The win against the Longhorns brought up some interesting numbers that make a difference for the Frogs. Check these out:
180-76
How much TCU has outscored Texas since joining the Big 12. The Frogs have a 5-1 edge over the Longhorns, whom they've beaten four times in a row now.
100
The number of home games that have been played under head coach Gary Patterson. Congrats, Coach P.
20
Speaking of home games under Patterson, TCU is 20-0 as a top-10 team in the AP poll.
12
Okay, so the Frogs' offense had nothing doing for an entire quarter. But quarterback Kenny Hill did at one point have 12 consecutive completions going for him. It's the second-most number of consecutive completions for a single game in TCU history. Former quarterback Jeff Ballard currently holds that record, with 14 against San Diego State in 2006.

The number of rushing yards TCU allowed Texas. Nice.
8
The number of field goals TCU kicker Jonathan Song has made so far this season. Though he did miss two extra points (one against Kansas State and the other against Kansas), as far as field goals go, Song is a perfect 8-of-8 on the season.
7
The number of sacks TCU had in the game against Texas. This is the most sacks the Frogs have had so far this season. Defensive end Ben Banogu was responsible for two of them -- on two consecutive snaps, to be exact. Defensive end Mat Boesen had one too, and has had at least one sack in four straight games.

Drumroll please -- after beating Texas, TCU currently has the No. 1 rushing defense in the country. The team just below at No. 2? Alabama.
