With Whitley Penn moving downtown to Frost Tower, a new tenant is taking over its West Seventh space.

D&M Auto Leasing’s corporate headquarters will relocate to Whitley Penn’s former building at 1400 West Seventh St. in early 2019.

Anthracite Realty Partners, LLC has partnered with MAH Properties to move D&M Auto Leasing from Grand Prairie to Fort Worth. D&M will bring over 100 employees to the area, including existing employees and new positions. The company will occupy the second and third floor of the four-story building. The fourth floor will remain available for lease, and Compass Bank will continue to occupy the first floor.

“We are very excited to expand our presence in Fort Worth by relocating our corporate headquarters into the heart of the city where many of our loyal customers call home,” Mike Hernandez, owner of MAH Properties —  and owner and CEO of D&M — said in a statement.  “Fort Worth’s flourishing sense of community, combined with a highly skilled workforce, abundant labor pool and a pro-business attitude makes for an ideal location to deepen our roots.”

D&M will continue to maintain offices in Dallas and Grand Prairie/Arlington, while commiting to the Fort Worth location. The company is the largest leasing company in the nation and has been based in Tarrant County for 42 years.

The move was made possible through an off-market transaction by Whitley Penn. Since building the 1400 West Seventh building 11 years ago, Whitley Penn’s firm has grown five times as large.

“The sale of this property, timed with our move, gives us a great opportunity to re-energize our work environment for our team,” Larry Autrey, managing partner of Whitley Penn said in a statement.
