The revamp of the historic O.B. Macaroni building is finally complete, and a grand opening celebration will be held Nov. 18 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The 157-year-old landmark has been transformed by real estate development company M2G Ventures, and is now a production space for MELT Ice Creams, W Durable Goods, Craftwork Coffee Co. and malt company TexMalt.
With the purchase of a $20 ticket, guests can enjoy two glasses of wine, an evening of live music by artists Kevin Aldridge and Christopher Watson, a photobooth and a behind-the-scenes look at the production spaces of the local businesses (with the exception of MELT, which is still under construction).
Also included in the ticket price is access to chef Dena Peterson-Shaskan's macaroni station, provided by her new catering company Mockingbird Food Co. — a tribute to the O.B. Mac building's pasta-making past.
Guests can also enjoy ice cream samples from MELT, coffee from the brand new roastery at Craftwork Coffee Co., and custom pennant embroidery by W Durable Goods. Additionally, TexMalt will be giving guests exclusive taste tests of its beers.
The O.B. Mac building is located off Interstate 35 at 108 South Freeway. Read more about the renovation project here.
