Rustic elegance is no doubt a trend when it comes to weddings right now, with many brides opting for a country flare for their formal ceremonies. One wedding venue not far from Fort Worth offers just that, along with catering and accommodations.
Hidden between the rolling hills and creeks of Justin, Texas, is Lucky Spur Ranch & Retreat, a private venue located just 25 miles outside of Fort Worth. While the ranch can host corporate retreats and quick getaways, it's also a popular spot for weddings.
Here's a quick look at how weddings work at Lucky Spur.
The Setting
Lucky Spur is a set on a sprawling 56 acres of creeks, ponds and rolling hills — without the long drive to the countryside. A wedding altar is located on an open lawn nestled between trees and is walking distance to the reception barn, which has ample space to celebrate with friends and family. The climate-controlled barn seats 400 guests and offers a pavilion to accommodate an additional 200.
The rest of the ranch has other spots to explore, like an old-fashioned saloon with a 12-foot full-service bar where you can listen to music and play a game or two of pool. Next door to the saloon, located in the heart of the ranch, is a courtyard with a firepit.
The Food
One less stress for the bride — Lucky Spur can take care of the food too, with an on-site kitchen that allows for in-house catering. The menu includes prime rib, fajitas and brisket made with locally sourced ingredients that can be tailored to your taste.
The Accommodations
Several on-site cabins are also available for up to 25 guests that don't want to drive home. Decorated with exposed wood and saddles to continue the rustic theme, cabins also offer full kitchens, HD TVs and fireplaces.
