One of my favorite charity events every year is Design Inspirations. Fort Worth’s most talented designers (amateur and professional - interior designers, florists, private schools, event planners, bored mothers with deep pockets, etc.) spend thousands of dollars to decorate rooms full of tables at Ridglea Country Club to benefit Gill Children's Services and the Child Study Center. It's loads of fun and a good excuse for a daytime cocktail!
Suzanne Kasler is this year’s featured speaker. Her classically inspired rooms, pretty palettes and comfortable spaces have been published in major design magazines. Suzanne creates meaningful interiors that straddle a rare middle ground between sophisticated and ingenue.
Let's face it. You're either in the know and attend this SOLD-OUT luncheon, or you are sitting on the sidelines wishing you could google and drool over the 62 fabulously designed tables...Well have no fear!!! YOU CAN ATTEND the PREVIEW PARTY!!! Truly, this is the way to go. A fun-filled night hanging with all of the table designers, gorging yourself on the dinner buffet, downing more cocktails that you can handle and burning all the calories off on the dance floor with the DJ. Now that's what I'm talking about! To purchase your $100 Preview Party ticket, click here!
Below are some of my favorite tables from 2014. Starting with Domain XCIV.
Central Market never disappoints with their fabulous over-the-top floral creations.
This table by V Homes was lovely with its mirrored glass top for extra reflection, and the acrylic paper pads as parting gifts for guests.
The table below was designed by one of my sweet friends who owns the fabulous Bottega Design Gallery, a darling tile and marble boutique. Rebecca meticulously worked with me on choosing our own tile for the floors in our basement. They turned out absolutely stunning, and I receive compliments all the time.
Who doesn't like a Jill Fortney Production? Jill always does the most fabulous elegant tables at Design Inspirations. She is renowned for throwing some serious multimillion-dollar weddings and events too. The only thing missing in this gal’s life is her own book, like Preston Bailey and Colin Cowie! Her events rival their talents on any given day!
Last but not least...my table from last year. Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!!! Inspired from our annual trip to New Orleans every February for the Profits of Persia Krewe celebrations! This table was definitely over the top and on the verge of tacky, but so is celebrating Mardi Gras in true fashion.
So, what does it take to set up a table like this? A krewe of people and your favorite florist, of course. On average, with four to six people, we can get a table up fully decorated within 4-6 hours. Last year, we decided to set up a GoPro Camera to film the entire project from start to finish. I hope you enjoy this lightning fast production.
