ABOUT THE ARTS COUNCIL OF FORT WORTH & TARRANT COUNTY
The Arts Council of Fort Worth & Tarrant County was formed in 1963 to provide funding and leadership, in order to stimulate and assure the advancement of the arts throughout the Fort Worth community. Today, the Arts Council is a dynamic, multi-faceted arts agency. It serves artists, arts organizations and the community with programs that help shape the arts, and that have a significant impact on the quality of life in Fort Worth. The Arts Council programs address three main areas: advocating for and funding local arts organizations; providing first class public art services; and managing the Fort Worth Community Arts Center as an accessible venue for the community.
