2018 Go Red for Women Luncheon
Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s movement that celebrates the energy, passion and power of women to band together and wipe out heart disease. Every 80 seconds a woman dies of heart disease, but 80% of those deaths are preventable through simple lifestyle changes. Go Red For Women in Tarrant County is a year-long campaign designed to raise awareness and educate women about their risks of the disease.
The cornerstone of this movement is the Go Red For Women Luncheon. The Luncheon is an empowering event that focuses on preventing heart disease and stroke by promoting healthy lifestyles and raising money to support awareness, education and research of heart health in women.
The Tarrant County Go Red For Women Luncheon, which will be held Thursday March 1, 2018, draws more than 600 business executives, medical professionals, and community leaders. It begins mid-morning with an array of activities, including health screenings, educational breakout sessions and a silent auction. At noon, guests enjoy a heart-healthy lunch, personal testimonies by women who have successfully battled heart disease, and will listen to a dynamic keynote presentation. The inspiring program saves lives with past luncheon attendees taking action when they recognized heart attack symptoms in themselves and loved ones.
