What does beauty mean to you?
I think beauty encompasses many things. I think confidence is beautiful. Security is beautiful. Knowing who you are and whose you are makes you beautiful. Most importantly, while external looks can be captivating, I believe beauty resonates from the spirit. The Bible teaches in 1 Peter 3:3-4 that our adorning shouldn't be external, but should be the hidden person of the heart with imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit.
Who is your beauty/style icon?
Diane Keaton, she has spent her life challenging the conventional notion of beauty. "What is beauty...why do we try to pin it down by categorizing it as absolute? Why limit it at all? Why is classic beauty the gold standard?" She believes that being beautiful starts with being true to who you are. I couldn't agree more.
Who is your female role model, and why?
Maya Angelou, she championed justice and equality. Her life was a testament to the power of possibility as well as an affirmation of courage. She was a phenomenal woman.
What are your hobbies?
One of my favorite things to do is to go where I've never been. I love to explore and travel. I also enjoy staying active. Boot camp, running and yoga are a few activities I participate in regularly.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.
I'm a bit of a thrill seeker. If it will get my adrenaline going, you can count me in!
Why did you choose Fort Worth?
Fort Worth is a good fit for me because it has the benefits of a big city with a small town feel and laid-back vibe. Fort Worth has plenty of great restaurants to satisfy the foodie in me and great culture, which maintains the history and tradition of the city, but also incorporates modern and urban additions. It's never hard to find something fun to do in Fort Worth.
What is your favorite thing about Fort Worth?
It's home!
What do you consider your best feature or characteristic?
