Happy National Taco Day: Here are 8 Taco Deals Around Fort Worth
Pictured: Taco Heads
More than four billion tacos were consumed in the U.S. last year, according to nationaltacoday.com, and we’re pretty sure at least 1 billion of those were consumed in Fort Worth. (At least, we’d like to think so.)
Either way, Fort Worth loves her tacos. So naturally, on National Taco Day, Oct. 4, several spots around town are offering deals to celebrate. Here are just a few:
Carnitas and queso fresco? Yes, please. Taco Heads is offering its normally-$3.50 carnitas taco for $2, serving it up street style on a corn tortilla. The deal lasts from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the limit is four per person.

Chuy’s is doing two things: Dress like a taco, get a free meal. Or, you can tell your server to “taco ‘bout it” and get a free taco added to any entrée.

You have a four-hour window for this deal. Yucatan is taking $1 off tacos but only during happy hour between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Fried chicken, green chiles, cheddar jack cheese and poblano sauce make up Torchy’s Trailer Park Taco. It’s free when you order anything off the menu at Torchy’s Midtown location.
928 Northton St.
Crispy tacos are 99 cents all day? Don’t mind if I do.

Tacos are $1 all day at Fuzzy’s, which includes most of its Baja Tacos and breakfast tacos. The tacos not included in the deal are the fajita, shrimp and California Heat tacos. To-go orders are also not included.
Just for National Taco Day, R Taco’s Blue Bonnet Circle location will have Loco Hour all day. All beers, margaritas and sides are half off.

Velvet Taco isn’t really having a “special” per se, but it is hosting a photo contest on Facebook and Instagram, giving away one $100 gift card and two $25 gift cards. Just follow Velvet Taco’s social media pages and use the hashtag #VTFWtacoday2017 when you post your Taco Day photo. This Facebook post has more detailed info.
